Dieter Thompson is the President of Alsbridge Network Services Group, which was created when Alsbridge acquired the Thompson Advisory Group (TAG) in December of 2009. Thompson is a maverick of the telecommunications industry. In 1999, he saw what others in his industry did not; a better way of benchmarking and negotiating telecommunication costs for multi-national companies. TAG was born.
The majority of Thompson's career was spent with AT&T, where he contributed to the traditional connectivity environment with AT&T in various capacities over a nine-year period. After AT&T, he helped pioneer the development of an asset exchange approach using telecommunications credits and "non-performing" assets associated with Fortune 500 companies and large money center banks.
Thompson co-founded a consulting company focused on procurement and vendor management in the telecommunications arena. He sold this business to ACS, a Fortune 500 outsourcing company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, where he served as Vice President of Network Sales and Advisory Services for two and a half years. This experience at ACS uniquely positioned him to offer advice on the traditional network marketplace and the emerging outsourcing models. Having negotiated more than 125 contracts representing $1billion in annual revenues, these experiences are now offered to the market through Alsbridge Network Services Group.
